Tashbetz Black-Striped Nonslip Tallit

Product Description

Traditional tallit in lightweight wool. Features textured, raised-grid weave that gives it an elegant “checkerboard” look and a non-slip tallit quality. This unique weave makes the Tashbetz Tallit very soft to the touch and a pleasure to wear.
The name “Tashbetz” is taken from Exodus 28:4, which refers to “a tunic of chequer work.”  Tashbetz is also the name of a famous responsa by Rabbi Shimon ben Tzemach Duran of 14th century Spain.

  1. Very Satisfied 5 Star Review

This is a well-made, high-quality tallit. Authentic in every way, the fit is also perfect as I used the size chart on this site. I look forward to using it every morning. It was a pleasure doing business with Ben's, and they promptly answered my questions. I highly recommend them!

  2. Wonderful 5 Star Review

This was my first Tallit and it is wonderful. I don't have another to compare it to but I love it. The weave looks very much like honeycomb and helps the material to stay on my shoulders more than I'm sure a normal one would. I asked for Rambam Tzitzit with thick Ptil Techelet and it is all just perfect. I would definitely go for the thick Tzitzit if you can as they look a lot better than the slightly thinner ones. I'm super happy with the service and feel like royalty wearing it. Thank you.

  5. a favor returned 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Sep 2015

Several years ago I found the techelet strand missing from one of my tzizit. Ben very cooperatively supplied me with a replacement at no charge. I am now buying my new (nonslip) tallit from him in particular to return the favor.
