Certified kosher and produced in accordance with the rulings of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef zt”l, this tallit combines traditional standards with exceptional craftsmanship.

    Mishkan Hatechelet makes a lovely tallit (I’ve had one of their lightweight weave ones for years), and the Beit Yosef is no exception. This is not only visually beautiful – elegant in its no-nonsense, plain simplicity – but it is quite comfortable to wear. As with many Mishkan Hatechelet models, the stripes are woven from the same material as the rest of the tallit, so there is no distracting shine or flash. Just harmonious simplicity. I cannot overstate what a pleasant tallit this really is, or how easy it was to work with Ben.

    This Talit by Mishkan Hatchelet is of superb quality. It folds well on the shoulder, soft around the neck, barely creases even after a long Shachrit and washes well without losing its shape! I hand wash it and steam press it myself and the result is like new. This is my second Talit of the same which I wanted it a Uriel (Gilbert) G. s a spare for guests or when the other one is set aside for washing and ironing.
    Despite the best quality weave, I find it prone to be often slipping off the shoulders but that is easily fixed with talit clips. Also, the fringes tend to clot after washing so it need brushing with a fine comb. A bit time consuming but well worth it.
    I’m proud to have such high quality traditional talit. It has become like a second skin to me.
    This was originally Ben’s recommendation and I standby his choice and advice.

    I’m not sure how Ben did this but I placed the order on December 31st and it arrived on January 6th (today) via DHL Express. I’m very impressed by the prompt attention to my order. Also, the Beit Yosef tallit was perfect, and I ordered it with techelet tzitzit tied in a Sephardic 7-8-11-13 pattern. He must have set right to work on this immediately. Thanks!
