Traditional White-on-White Tallit Comparison Guide

Prima A.A. Tallit – White-striped traditional wool tallit with traditional smooth wool fabric. High-quality 100% wool weave with satiny striping. Comes with a standard white atara. To add a different atara, go to the Tallit Atara page.

Shachar Tallit – Fabulous new lightweight nonslip wool tallit. Satiny striping, standard white atara, textured white wool corner squares and ornate double-row fringes. Made by Mishkan Hatchelet. 

Tashbetz – Box weave designed to minimize slipping. Made by Mishkan Hatchelet.

Hamefoar White – Luxurious textured weave that also resists slipping, but smoother than the Tashbetz. Satiny striping. Looks somewhat similar to the age-old traditional tallit fabric. Made by Mishkan Hatchelet.

Malchut – Lightweight nonslip tallit. Subtle matte striping on tallit, atara and corners. Features ornate double-row fringes. Made by Talitania.

David Tashbetz – Standard weight nonslip tallit. Similar to the Beit Yosef Tashbetz, with subtle matte striping on tallit, atara and corners, but with a more textured, airy box weave. Features double-row fringes. Made by Talitania.

Beit Yosef – Standard weight tallit. Sturdier fabric than the Malchut. Subtle matte striping on tallit, atara and corners. Striping is integrated into the weave, lending this very popular tallit a subtle beauty. Made by Mishkan Hatchelet.

Beit Yosef Tashbetz – All of the same features found in the Beit Yosef, but with the box-weave textured fabric of Tashbetz, for optimal nonslip properties.

Note that for the most part, weight differences are relatively insignificant.
