How this tallit got its name
When a mother of a 12-and-a-half-year-old sent me a sketch of a tallit he had designed, I was skeptical. In fact, I tried to talk her out of it. But then while discussing the proposed design with the weaving studio liaison, she told me over the years she has often been surprised how nice designs envisioned by bar mitzvah boys turn out in the end. So we decided to name the tallit after its young designer!
