World-famous Gabrieli tallits have been made in Israel on hand looms for over four decades. A fabulous value in a handwoven tallit.
Available in wool, wool/acrylic, cotton or silk/acrylic. The wool is made using thick yarns that create a rugged, earthy look. (The wool and wool/acrylic look almost identical.) The cotton version is made of slightly thinner yarns that enable greater detail.
The acrylic/silk version is thinner, with a tighter weave, high sheen and a slick feel.
Please note: Typical weaving time is currently longer than usual, and can be up to 12 weeks, especially if you select one of the atara options with hand embroidery. In addition to weaving time, we need about one week to tie on the tzitzit and prepare the order for shipping. Also, be sure to take into account that both the weaving studio and our office are shut down throughout the week of Passover and Sukkot.
