Latin America

Coronavirus Update: Due to flight reductions, we sometimes see that Israel Post has delays in sending parcels out of the Israel, and there have also been delays upon arrival in certain countries. DHL Express shipping has not been impacted.

» Order Fulfillment - We normally process and dispatch orders within 3-5 business days.
» Customs - Most countries levy import taxes on Judaica products from Israel.
» Deadline - If you have a specific deadline or target date (e.g. bar mitzvah, wedding), please note this during checkout so that we can make every effort to get your order to you on time.

Shipping Fees
To check the shipping cost and estimated shipping time, add items to your cart, click View or edit your cart, next to "Shipping" click "Add Info." You will then be able to see several shipping options, including the cost and estimated shipping time.

Israel Post Registered Shipping
Within one or two days after your order was shipped you should have received an automated message with your tracking number. Please note that registered shipping provides only minimal tracking. In most cases, you will only be able to track the parcel until it leaves Israel, and not via your respective country's national postal service.

DHL Express

Our Express shipping is handled by DHL Express couriers from start to finish. Shortly after it ships you can expect to receive an automated email message with a 10-digit tracking number. Typical shipping time is two days, and shipping to the New York area can be as little as one day.

Note: Our DHL Express shipping option is two-day courier service, but leave three business days, to be safe. Also, keep in mind that in Israel DHL does not provide pick-up service on Fridays and does not operate flights out of Israel on Sundays, which means if the shipment does not leave our office by Thursday morning, it could run into a long weekend. If the delivery date is critical, be sure to check with us regarding fulfillment time before you place the order. Sometimes we can get orders out within one or two days, but not always.

Please note that DHL Express does not deliver to PO boxes.

Customs

Sometimes customers will contact an online seller to request that they modify the information written on the customs declaration and invoice. Our policy is to adhere to the halachic and legal requirements related to shipping and customs clearance, therefore we cannot honor such requests.

In the United States our customers are not charged VAT or other import taxes, however, in most other countries, these charges are likely to be imposed, regardless of the shipping method. Religious articles are rarely exempt.

Many of our customers in Latin America opt to have us ship to one of the various forwarding services in the US (usually in Florida).

We urge our customers to clarify the import costs they are likely to incur in their home country, and ask that they understand that we cannot take responsibility for these expenses, and do not even have the ability to clarify the tax regulations in the dozens of countries we ship to.

For a halachic overview of customs declaration issues, you may want to refer to this blog post.

General Tips: Whichever shipping option you choose, if feasible you may want to use an address where someone is on hand during daytime hours, such as a work address. And if you have a critical target date (wedding, bar mitzvah, etc.), mention that in the comments field, which you'll see toward the end of the checkout process.
