Product Description
Bright red base with gray bands and white, green, and gold highlights, finished with bold black fringes. The dominant color is a luminous ruby red that catches and reflects the light beautifully. Hand‑woven in Israel from a silk‑blend fabric made with thick silk yarns, this tallit has a rich weaving texture and a shimmering, high‑sheen appearance.
About Gabrieli Tallit Hand-Weaving
With sales reaching communities from New York to Los Angeles, South Africa to South America, and London to Jerusalem, Gabrieli has become one of the world’s premier studios for hand‑woven tallitot.
Founded in 1964 by Malka Gabrieli — a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design — the studio began in the artist colony of Old Jaffa and has grown steadily ever since. Still a family‑run workshop, Gabrieli continues its weaving tradition on looms specially prepared for each fabric type, with different warps strung for wool, cotton or silk to achieve the ideal drape and finish for every tallit.
Malka Gabrieli, who studied at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, founded Gabrieli Hand Weaving in 1964. The studio was started in the artist colony of Old Jaffa and kept growing. The business has remained in the family, continuing the hand‑woven tallit tradition on looms specially prepared for each fabric type, with different warps strung for wool, cotton, or silk.
