This is the one you want to wrap yourself...
This is exactly the sort of traditional tallit I have been looking for. It is beautifully made and comfortable. It feels like an embrace from the Divine when it is wrapped around you.
I've only worn it once so far, but it seems to actually not slip. I'm really writing because I am so very pleased with my decision to buy online and from Israel. Pleasant, easy to work with, all types in one place with explanations of the differences, and all-in-all a fun experience rather than the typical Jewish bookstore, which only has 2 or 3 types, can't provide good service or special requests for linings, tzitzit, etc. Shipping was quick, too. A much better experience for the same price as shlepping to Brooklyn!
Very supple soft fabric. I was expecting a bit heavier fabric though, this is lighter than I expected based on the original description but still very nice. The atara is gorgeous and sewed on perfectly.
This tallis is really special, great for Shabbat/holidays. It's not really non-slip exactly, but definitely less slippery than a smooth tallis. The doubled fringes and the striping give it a really special look. The only drawback is that the doubled fringes sometimes have a tendancy to loosen and come untied over time. Ben was helpful and responsive via email in helping me select it, too.
Very satisfied with the talit and prompt service. The non-slip nature of the weave, without being coarse, is appreciated. The workmanship is superb.
When I received the Tallit in the mail, it was much nicer than I imagined it would be. The non-slip nature was perfect. During Duchenen, the Tallit sit sexactly as I needed it to, without my having to make adjustments as I did with other tallitot. The P'til Techelet received a lot of comments for their beauty. I also want to complement the website for its ease of use and easy instructions and help links. I had a few occasions to trade emails with Ben Garson, and he was extremely supportive with answering questions and making sure I had the right result. I would recommend Ben's Tallit Shop to everyone.
Even though I live in United States, I "go to Ben's" every time. Everything is done with quality and the utmost care. I have purchased several tallit, Sephardic and Ashkenzi, as well as tzitit. Always impeccable. Will use Ben's for tefillin and mezuzot as well. One of the best stores I have ever come across.
Excellent tallis with a soft feel and beautiful craftsmanship.
