Medium Moroccan ram's horn shofar. Black mouthpiece fades into gray with hints of rudy, and a tan bell. Unique flat shape, and highly polished. Clear tone.
The Moroccan shofar actually originated in Spain, where Jews persecuted by the Inquisition flattened the ram’s horn in order to better conceal it beneath their clothes. The Jews who fled the Jewish exclusion decrees arrived primarily in Morocco, bringing this unique shofar with them.
